Kimpton Hotel is one of the largest boutique hotel group in the US. Most people have heard of hotel chains like Marriot, Westin, Four Seasons and the like. Kimpton may not be a brand name to the mass market, but it had been ranked number one in customer satisfaction for 2009 by Market Metrix Hospitality Index and in fact won against Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton and some of the other high end hotels.

Each Kimpton Hotel have a different name and identity. The tagline for Kimpton is that "Each hotel tells a different story". They have funky promotions such as a free upgrade when you can win a round of Rock, Paper and Scissors or hula hoop for 20 seconds. You can even get a pet gold fish during your stay at one point. Which leaves us to the Wii...

In most of the Kimpton hotel, if you go to their common area, you can find a Wii where you can play a game of tennis if you are too lazy to step out in the hot sun. All these personal touch makes Kimpton Hotel a distinctive place to stay in.
