The combined net worth of 2 of the world's richest man is more than $100B. These 2 richest man are Bill Gates and Warren Buffett. However, they do not plan to keep all the wealth for themselves nor for their children. Warren Buffett had made a pledge to give away 99% of his wealth with the majority of that going to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He claims that using more than 1% of the wealth is not going to change his life and owning properties around the world just makes one a slave. Meanwhile, Bill Gates has been devoting much of his to the foundation work hoping to eliminate diseases around the world and other grand ambitious plan.

According to an article in Fortune, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett now wants to persuade the rest of the billionaires in the US and the world to give away at least 50% of the wealth to help the world. If they succeed, these billions can change the life and improve the quality of life for many people who according to Warren Buffett got the short end of the straw in life. If billionaires pledge their wealth to good cause, it can change the concept of philantrophy and giving or at least add unprecedented scale to it.
